LADIES OPEN DAY 9th JUNE 2012

Compared with the last week’s weather it was glorious, well  the wind was light and it didn’t rain, almost sunny at times. Bob Gillman acted as Starter for us and got everyone away on time. Thanks go to Bob.

54 ladies took part in the annual Ladies Open Day, teams of 3, with 2 scores to count. The scores were good and many away players in the prizes.  The raffle  raised  £140 in aid of the British Heart Foundation

In 1st with 84 points on countback was Jackie Mallett, Sarah Shobrook and Niki Wraight

In 2nd with 84 points was Sara Taylor, Micah Carroll and Nikki Hodge ( Tehidy)

In 3rd with 82points was Jo Rysdale, Dawn Emmerson and Mel Byrne (both Killiow)

In 4th  with 79 points was Kim Mundy. Georgia Hall (West Cornwall) and Carol Skrzypczak ( Holsworthy)

In 5th with74 on countback Jane Barrington, Ann Brook (St Austell) and Sue Short( Falmouth)

Best Visitors team with 72 points were Falmouth’s Hazel Mulcahy, Margaret Wallis and Liz Shone

Best Front 9 team with 37points were Magaret Oliver, Sue Carveth and Karen Greenwood

Best Back 9 team with 39 on back 6 were Vicky Lee Comyn and Bude pair of Collette Burgess and Judith Smith

Longest Drive Silver on 15th was Jane Barrington

Longest Drive Bronze on 7th was Jacquie Lang

Nearest pin on 6th was Georgia Hall 5ft 2 inches

Nearest pin with second shot on 18th was Micah Carroll 13ft 9inches

There were 4 x 2’s each receiving 12 balls.
