31 Ladies played in Jenny Potter’s Captains Day. The weather,once the mist cleared was clear blue sky and sunshine.
A flock of sheep greeted everyone on the first tee, with Shaun the Sheep acting as their leader. The sheep theme continued with sheep headgear and some players sporting tails as well.
The format was a medal and the scores varied.
The Winner of the Lady Captains Cup with a net 72 was Vera Eade.
In 1st place in Silver with a net 74 was Jackie Mallett
In 2nd place in Silver with a net 75 winning on countback was Sarah Shobrook
In 3rd also with a net 75 was Karen Greenwood.
In1st place in Bronze with a net 74 was Jane Rowse
In 2nd place on a countback with a net 75 was Julie Hamblen
In 3rd place also with a net 75 was Mandy Wright
The Scratch Winner with a gross 77 was Jan Sargeant
The Best Front 9 with a net 35 was Birgitta Varcoe. The Best Back 9 with a net 36 was Micah Carroll.
Nearest the pin on the 6th was Birgitta Varcoe being 2mtrs 11 cms from the pin.
The Longest Drive Silver was Micah Carroll and the longest drive Bronze was Mandy Wright.
The were 2x 2’s each receiving 16 balls each. Jo Rysdale on the 6th and Bev Vann also on the 6th.
