27 Ladies played the EWGA Medal in really quite windy conditions. Despite at one time nearly being at the end of a rainbow, there was no pot of gold, only rain.
The CSS was 75.
In Silver in 1st place and cutting her handicap to 12 with a net 71 was Jenny Potter
In 2nd place and also cutting her handicap to 12 with a net 73 was Vera Eade
In 3rd place with a net 76 was Karen Greenwood
The Best back 9 Silver was Vicky Lee Comyn.
In Bronze in 1st place on countback with a net 82 was Liz Gillman
In 2nd place also with a net 82 was Rosie Broger Bareham
In 3rd place with a net 87 was Birgitta Varcoe.
The Best back 9 Bronze was amazingly enough, Jacquie Lang.
Due to the weather conditions and Exeter Golf Club’s course having a trolley ban the Tamar Trophy match due to be played on Sunday 10th willl now be played in the New Year on a date to be arranged.
