FRIDAY MATCH-PLAY: The sun shone all day for the 1st day of match-play although a cold north wind prevailed all day. The best match of the morning was between top qualifier Jan and Club mate Nikki who was 2 down with 2 to play but had a birdie burst to win on the 21st hole. In the afternoon quarter-finals Nikki continued her good form with a win against Liz Bird to reach the semi-final against Emily and Eugenie will play Wendy Briggs. Lauren scored a 1up win against Abi in the morning but lost to Emily Toy 4&3 in the afternoon.
PLATE 2ND 16 Qualifiers: In the am round Perranporth’s Vicky and Angie had wins to set up a match against each other with Vicky coming out on top after extra holes and forward to play the Semi finals tomorrow. Bev Van won her match against Pat Mac Micheal 5&4 and then had a 2&1 win against Pauline Clifton. Vera also played but unfortunately lost in the morning
