3 Perranporth Ladies played in the Championships finals on Sunday. Jan Sargeant played Angie Chapman in the final of the Advanced Plate. It was a close match with an occasional hole won and lost with neither player being more than 1up until Jan went 2up after 14. Angie came back and won the 15th and the 16th was halved. Jan finally took the match on the 17th and won the Advanced Plate for the 7th time.
Anna Sendall played Pauline Clifton from Mullion in the Plate final. This again was a very close match with the pair playing the 18th and until Pauline 3 putted the hole had looked to be going up the 19th. Anna had won the Plate.
In the actual Championship there was Megan Giles playing Georgia Price. Georgia took an early lead only to be pegged back to go in after 18 two down. Georgia came back and levelled the score but Megan won the 31st hole to go 1up. Holes were halved from then until Megan finally won on the 36th hole.
Well done to all the Perranporth Ladies with Danielle, Nikki and Olivia all being selected to play in the Inter County Match week in July at St Enodoc.
