The CLCGA Bronze Shield was played at Mullion on the 20th July. The Perranporth team was Linzi Hawkey, Mandy Wright, Niki Wraight and Debbie Douglas.
The format is teams of 4 with the best 3 Medal scores counting.
In 1st place was Perranporth with a total of 210, 6 points ahead of Cape Cornwall.
Linzi won the Andrews Bowl for the best Scratch score of 91 net 65. All the team cut their handicap on the day, some more than others but it was a very fine effort and returned the shield to the wallin the Clubhouse.
On the same day Jo and Hilary were at Taunton and Pickeridge playing in the England Golf Coronation Foursomes regional final. Unfortunately it was a repeat of last years result with the pair coming in 2nd place out of a field of 100 pairs. So well done to them and maybe try for third time lucky next year.
