23 Club s entered team in the Bronze Shield at Launceston. The weather after the mist cleared was fine.
The Perranporth team were Karen Furness, Jane Rowse, Jill Hoskin and Debbie Douglas. The caddies were Vera Eade, Mandy Wright, Jenny Potter and Vicky Lee Comyn. The Lady Captain Jan supported very well despite being hit by a stray ball.
The scores were varied. The CSS was 75
In the Team winning the Inter Club Handicap Shield with a total of 221 was St Enodoc. The team was Edna Alford, Viv Steer, Tamsin Blake and Susan Richards.
In 2nd place with 232 was Newquay . The team was Pauline O Shea, Anne Poole, Trish Poyner and Janet Cox.
In 3rd place with 233 was Falmouth. The team was Rose Bailey, Brenda Arch, Rebecca Beer and Eleanor Richards.
In the Andrews Bowl the best scratch score was a gross 88 by Tamsin Blake.
In 2nd place was Alison Jacka with a gross 97.
In 3rd place was Karen Furness with a gross 98. This will cut her handicap .
In the Handicap prizes the best net was Janet Cox with a net 74
In 2nd place was Lorraine Cosgrove with a net 75
